While the BJP is adamant on first taking the oath of the nominated members in the Municipal Corporation, the Aam Aadmi Party has not budged from its stand of first taking the oath of the elected members. Due to both the parties sticking to their stand, the way of voting for the post of Mayor is not visible at the moment. Meanwhile, both the parties have decided to show their strength by demonstrating on the streets on Monday. On Monday, the BJP, under the leadership of its working president Virendra Sachdeva, will reach the Chief Minister’s residence and gherao the Chief Minister’s residence, taking out a protest from Chandgiram Akhara. At the same time, the Aam Aadmi Party is also making a strategy to encircle the BJP by staging a big protest on the streets.
BJP leaders say that the presiding officer of the House of the Municipal Corporation had first started taking oath to the nominated members, so it should not have been opposed. There is no provision in the rules made for the Municipal Corporation that only the elected members should be administered the oath first. When the House meets again, the remaining six nominated members will take oath in it, only after that any process will be taken forward.
At the same time, the Aam Aadmi Party is still gearing up for the first swearing in of the elected members. Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has alleged that BJP wants to influence the election of mayor-deputy mayor by giving voting rights to nominated members as well, which will not be accepted at any cost. The middle way is not visible due to the obstinate attitude of both the parties, due to which the election for the post of Mayor is seen to be obstructing.
AAP party leaders are not respecting women
Delhi BJP spokesperson Neha Shalini Dua told Amar Ujala that Aam Aadmi Party leaders repeatedly insult women. Till now they used to insult women outside the House, now they are insulting women even inside the Municipal Corporation House. The whole of Delhi saw how their corporators misbehaved with the women corporators of BJP inside the Municipal Corporation House on Friday.
Neha Shalini Dua alleged that in the police investigation in the Kanjhawala case, it has come to the fore that all the accused who had committed the heinous incident with the victim woman were drunk. Kejriwal, who talked about women’s safety before coming to power, after coming to power, started opening liquor shops in every street of Delhi, due to which the safety of women was in danger. He said that if the Delhi government had not worked to open liquor shops in every street, heinous incidents like Kanjhawala could have been avoided.
Kejriwal does not trust his leaders
The BJP leader said that a house is run according to its presiding officer, it cannot be run according to the wishes of the Aam Aadmi Party. Kejriwal calls himself an anarchist and he proves time and again that he has no faith in this democratic system. This time also they are doing the same thing by obstructing the work of a Presiding Officer.
He alleged that Arvind Kejriwal did not trust the leaders of his own party. This is the reason why they are feeling that their party leaders can vote for the mayor candidate of another party when the election for the post of mayor is held. This is the reason why the Aam Aadmi Party is blocking the mayoral election due to the fear of defeat. But the election for the post of mayor will be held on the floor of the house, so the Aam Aadmi Party should cooperate in running the house keeping faith in democracy.
here is the crisis
In fact, the zonal elections are believed to be the real reason behind the tussle between the two political parties. The victory of Aam Aadmi Party in five and BJP in four zones is almost certain. While there can be a clash between the two in the election of three zones. Since the nominated members have the right to vote in the zonal elections, their vote can be decisive in the zonal elections. This is the reason why the BJP is trying to administer oath to the nominated members before the election for the post of mayor, while the Aam Aadmi Party is adopting a strategy to avoid it.
